What is Drop 001?

Drop 001 is the debut collection from EMPIRIC. Six designs built around the ideas that drive rehabilitation, performance, and evidence-based practice.

Most apparel is designed to appeal to everyone. We built Drop 001 for the people who already think differently: clinicians, coaches, students, and critical thinkers who value evidence over opinions and principles over slogans.

From adaptation and progressive overload to clinical reasoning and evidence, every design represents a concept that shapes how we think, coach, and practice.

Drop 002 followed with eight more designs, built on the same standard.

What garments do you use?

EMPIRIC isn't a one-garment brand. Each build uses the blank that's right for it, chosen for how it wears, not how cheap it is.

Tees (Drop 001 and Drop 002): 100% cotton, 190 GSM, with a slight stretch and a deep drop-shoulder cut. Substantial enough to feel considered, breathable enough that a long shift doesn't feel like one. Every design across both drops uses this same fabric.

Women's Crop Tee: a structured, heavyweight crop in seamless 100% cotton, 200 GSM, with no side seams. It feels substantial and holds its shape. Made for everyday wear, not as a training top.

Essential Heavyweight Hoodie: 380 GSM, 85/15 cotton-poly, non-washed. The lighter of our two hoodies, with a regular fit, made for training, gym sessions, active everyday wear and cooler weather. It isn't made for very cold weather or maximum warmth. Consistent color piece to piece.

Snow Washed Hoodie: 420 GSM, 100% cotton, garment washed after construction for a heavier, softer, already broken-in feel. Every piece is washed individually, so slight variation in fade and texture is the finish, not a fault.

Women's Ribbed Racerback Tank: 96% cotton, 4% spandex, 280 GSM ribbed knit with real stretch recovery. A slim, fitted women's racerback, built to layer under a hoodie or stand on its own.

Unisex Snow Washed Tank: 275 GSM, 100% cotton with a snow-washed finish, so the tone and texture vary slightly piece to piece, and a raw-edge hem left frayed on purpose. Loose and sleeveless, an everyday piece first that also works for training.

Women's Embroidered Sweatshirt: 350 GSM fleece-lined cotton-polyester blend. Exceptionally soft, cozy, and warm, with the EMPIRIC. mark embroidered on the chest in navy or white thread.

No thin fabric. No cheap blanks. No disposable shirts.

Just garments that feel as considered as the ideas printed on them.

How does sizing work?

Sizing depends on the build. Fits vary across the line by design.

Tees: oversized and dropped-shoulder by design, with a slight stretch. Between two sizes, choose the larger one. Sizes S to 2XL. 2XL is the largest size, and the Fit Finder tells you when it wouldn't give the oversized fit.

Essential Heavyweight Hoodie: a regular fit, not oversized. It runs small, so we recommend one size up for a regular, comfortable fit. The Fit Finder already accounts for this. Sizes S to 3XL.

Snow Washed Hoodie: true to size with a relaxed, oversized silhouette. Between two sizes, choose the larger one. Sizes S to 3XL.

Women's Crop Tee: a fitted silhouette that runs small. The Fit Finder accounts for this in the size it recommends. Sizes S to L.

Women's Ribbed Racerback Tank: designed for a close, fitted look. Between two sizes, choose the larger one. Sizes S to XL.

Unisex Snow Washed Tank: loose fit. Between two sizes, choose the larger one. Unisex sizes M to 2XL.

Women's Embroidered Sweatshirt: oversized by design, with dropped shoulders. Choose your usual size. There's no need to size up. Women's sizes S to L.

The fastest way to get it right is the Fit Finder on every product page. Enter your height and weight in the units you know and it gives you a size for that build. Garment measurements for every build, laid flat, are in the Size Guide.

How do the hoodies fit, and what are the measurements?

Both hoodies have a dropped shoulder and come in S to 3XL, but they fit differently. The Snow Washed Hoodie is true to size with a relaxed, oversized silhouette. The Essential Heavyweight Hoodie is lighter and thinner, with a regular fit, not oversized. It runs small, so one size up gives a regular, comfortable fit, and the Fit Finder already accounts for this. The two charts below look close on paper, but in our own fit testing the Essential fits noticeably snugger than the Snow Washed Hoodie in the same size. In either hoodie, if you're between two sizes, choose the larger one. Measurements are taken with the garment laid flat, in inches and centimeters.

Pit-to-pit is armpit seam to armpit seam across the front, half the chest circumference. Length is from the high point of the shoulder, next to the collar, straight down to the hem. Measure a hoodie you already own that fits the way you want, and compare.

Will it hold up through a 12-hour shift or a heavy training block?

Yes. At 190 GSM, the tee is built substantial, not thin. Enough structure to hold its shape and color through a full shift or a hard session, while staying breathable enough that you're not thinking about it by hour ten. The hoodies are heavier still, at 380 and 420 GSM.

Can I layer it under scrubs or a jacket?

Yes. The tee's oversized, dropped-shoulder fit is cut with enough room to layer cleanly under scrubs, a white coat, or outerwear without feeling bulky or restrictive.

Is the fit good for training and lifting, or just everyday wear?

Both, by design. The slight stretch and deep drop-shoulder cut move with you through a lift or a training session, and the same tee holds its shape at the clinic, on the commute, or on your day off. One tee, not a training shirt you also happen to wear around.

How long does shipping take?

Standard Delivery: most US orders arrive in about 7 days from the day you order, based on our recent deliveries. Every product page shows an estimated arrival date.

Priority Delivery: about 5 days from the day you order.

Standard Delivery is $5.99, free on US orders of $99 or more after discounts. Priority Delivery is $12.99 (tees, crop tees, tanks, and the women's sweatshirt) or $26.99 (hoodies and sweatpants).

Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees. Delivery also depends on the shipping carriers, so delays can happen, and at busy times a Standard order can take up to 14 business days.

Every EMPIRIC garment is made to order in the size and color you choose. We currently ship within the United States only.

Tracking is included on every order and emailed to you as soon as it ships.

What is your return and exchange policy?

If your item arrives damaged, defective, misprinted, or isn't what you ordered, we'll fix it at no cost to you: a full refund or a free replacement, your choice, no need to send anything back. Contact us within 14 days of delivery with a photo.

Fit Promise: use the Fit Finder on the product page before you order. If the size it recommends doesn't fit, we remake it free, once, within 7 days of delivery.

Because every EMPIRIC garment is made to order specifically for you, we can't accept returns or exchanges for a change of mind, a different color, or a size chosen without the Fit Finder. Please check the Size Guide and use the Fit Finder before ordering.

How do I care for my garment?

Machine wash cold, inside out, with like colors. Tumble dry low.

Do not bleach or iron directly on the print. Hats: spot clean only.

With proper care, your garment is designed to keep its fit, feel, and print quality over time.
